Sunblock SPF 15 Can not Protect Skin

at 11:02 PM

Today the hot sun and no longer a friend for your beautiful skin. but activity in the sun remains to be done. One of the simplest precaution is to apply sunblock to the skin, each time it is exposed to sunlight.

Talk about sunblock, of course not be separated from the SPF. Reportedly, the higher the SPF, the more secure then your skin is protected from the negative effects of the sun to the skin. But it was not solely so, how much you wear it in the skin also affects the defense formed by sunblock.

Quoted from yahoo, use sunblock recommendations issued by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) of at least SPF 15. However, these recommendations are based on tests with sunblock application of 2 mg/cm2 in the skin.

But in fact, according to the Drugs and Therapeutics Bulletin (DTB), people use less sunscreen than that, and therefore only get about half of the protection promised by the level of SPF. The experts revealed that the evidence showed the average person's use of sunscreen is between 1.5 mg to 0.5 mg/cm2 skin. With SPF 50 sunscreen, use that number it will provide protection as provided by the SPF 19 to 30. It can be imagined if you wear an SPF 15 in the amount less than that, then almost no protective effect could be given by your sunscreen.

Experts at DTB NICE recommends that the revised standards, and according to them, sunscreen with an SPF of 30 plus has a rating of 4 to 5 star is a sun protection that is more adequate for most users and can ward off skin damage due to sun on many occasions. 4 or 5 shows the effect of screening a broader ultraviolet spectrum to counteract UVA, causes various problems of aging, while regular sunscreen only ward off UVB, the cause of dark skin color due to sunlight.
